Jeffrey Don Lundgren (called JDL on streaming services) is the second single released for the upcoming Trig Jegman album Take Me Anywhere But Here. It was released on October 1, 2025 onto streaming platforms, and on November 6, 2025 it released on BandCamp. This song is quite blatantly about the rise of the cult leader and mass murderer of the same name, who made his home in the state of Ohio from the 1970's until his execution in 2006. Dark and twisted, this piece is a somber reminder that not every person is cut out as they seem. Cult leaders (murderous or not) are generally pretty terrible, but they also have a strong sense of charisma and know what it takes to infect the minds of those around them—just like the main hooks to this song. References to "chiastic" parallel Lundgren's obsession with reflection and chiasmus, a method of observing text and confirming parallels. Supposedly, the symmetry provided in the name "OHIO" lead to him moving here in the first place. Let it be known: There's absolutely nothing about this guy to celebrate, but we can at least remember the chain of events that got us here. The bridge of this song originally had an electric guitar solo, but was scrapped towards the end of production in favor for all synthesizers. The spooky choir part has 12 voices!
Found enlightenment in god
God found in enlightenment
The mirror will show us the way
The old methods of thinking
Must be dead and gone
The people started going astray
Truth
In your words
Pales to
Truth in mine
Heaven's been restricted
I will make them see
I'll make them listen to me
Ohio is chiastic
and my home
Six joined me on the way
and I stopped their murmuring
Because I could read their minds
This made the seven seals
and me the one to follow it
Their wills are open to bind
Truth
In your words
Pales to
Truth in mine
Heaven's been restricted
I will make them see
I'll make them listen to me
Ohio is chiastic
and my home
(It's time to clean the Vineyards)
Prepare for the return
His return we must prepare
By clearing out the home of five
What has been done to them
One day will happen to me
This is what I call the truth!
I will make them see
I'll make them listen to me
Ohio is chiastic
and my home
I will make them see
I'll make them listen to me
Ohio is chiastic
and my home
The B-side to this release is Strangled, an all too fitting metaphor for the friend it was written for. This Residents-inspired features creepy clown music, pitch-shifted vocals, and lyrics berating an asshole of a former friend. Like all music should, really.
I strangled my friend with my bear hands
He ended up playing in too many bands
And grew out his hairs to his knees
