Cornhenge is the first single released off of the upcoming Trig Jegman album Take Me Anywhere But Here. It was released on June 20, 2025. It is based off the Ohio landmark of the same name (albeit that Cornhenge is a slang term for the Field of Corn). It truly is a bunch of concrete stalks of corn, in the middle of a bunch of orange trees, in the middle of absolutely nowhere. It's a perfect place for cryptids or other horrors to lurk, and really grasps the absurdity of living in the midwest sometimes. The track lyrically follows this train of thought.
Welcome to the cornfields
Is this your first time in town
Don't run alone
Get back by dark
I'll show you around
Hundred Nine stalks
Six feet tall
(In a) field so large you look so small
I'm
Going back
To Cornhenge
Forfeit your routine and
get back in line
Long winter's night
in the summer time
Get distress calls on the ol' CB
Move up, and get going for you and me
Watch to your left
I'll cover to the right
Cycle repeats until the orange light
Don't know what you thought
Comin' in this town
But you can't leave now, this hell you've found
I'm
Going back
To Cornhenge
I'm
Going back
To Cornhenge
I'm
Going back
To my home
The B-side to this single is Mowing the Lawn, an amusing commentary comparing stereotypical communism to grass. It's some lighthearted guitar grooves and two haikus. The lyrics to this piece are actually an extremely old high school assignment being re-purposed. The more you know.
Governmental force
slices down the crowds again
quelled rebellion
No unruly growths
all heights here must be the same
communistic grass
